In 2023 when we published our interactive map we did not believe that it would be such a success. What was supposed to be a simple addition to the Guide du VR has become an entity in itself and seems to meet a real need. The number of visits has continued to increase since the launch and the growing number of members are forcing us to review the quality of our offer.

From May 15, 2024, members will have access to the list of RV Stops ** and parking lots as well as the list of 84 affordable campsites in Quebec.

Access to our website remains free for everyone.

Unlike certain organizations which attempt to limit access to RV Stops published on their sites, the RV Guide considers that these places for overnight stays must remain public. *

The mission of Haltes-VR Gratuites is to offer travelers with RVs (caravanners) free or low-cost places to spend the night with their equipment in complete safety when they are in transit between two destinations. These rest stops are not campgrounds and only offer a parking space, generally without services. Users must respect caravanner etiquette and behave respectfully during their stays on these premises.

It is important to encourage local traders and act according to the rules posted by the authorities. Caravanners must limit their use of the premises to the strict minimum so as not to disturb public peace.

 

The current map will remain online for Internet users who visit the site and who are not members of Haltes-VR Gratuites.

This map will no longer be updated in the future.
